Surface Tension: Call For Art
Deadline: Tuesday, January 13th (midnight)The Mulberry Cultural Center seeks visual art submissions for "Surface Tension". "Surface Tension" invites artists to move beyond the expected and explore creativity on non-traditional surfaces. We are looking for masterpieces created on anything but traditional canvas/paper/panel. Artists are encouraged to experiment with found objects, industrial materials, natural elements, textiles, plastics, metals, glass, ceramics, wood, or any unconventional substrate that pushes the boundaries of presentation. Works may be painted, drawn, sculpted, assembled, etched, stitched, burned, or otherwise transformed. The Mulberry Cultural Center will provide labels for each piece, which will include artist information and options on how to purchase the artwork directly from the artist. Artists of all backgrounds and disciplines are invited to submit work that surprises, challenges, and redefines what an artwork can be. We will be offering cash prizes for Best in Show ($400), 2nd place ($250), and 3rd place ($100).
